He was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, graduated from Lincoln High School and attended the University of Nebraska. Jack moved to Houston with his parents in 1941. He married Waunda Florine Crosier in Houston, Texas on August 10, 1941. They were married 69 years before her passing on December 13, 2010.
Jack served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his discharge he and Waunda returned to Houston where he resumed his education at the University of Houston earning both his B.A. and M.B.A. in electrical engineering.
After completing his education, Jack went to work for Houston Light and Power and remained there until retirement at age 62.
He was an avid spectator sports fan, enjoying sports of all kinds with his favorite being baseball.
After Jack and Waunda retired they became world travelers, visiting many interesting and exotic places.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents in 1967 and 1969. He is survived by his sister-in-law and her husband, Joan (Crosier) Wright and husband Curtis R. Wright of Cheyenne, WY, sister-in-law Gladys Crosier of Lincoln, NE; nephew, Bill G. Crosier and wife Sharon and their children of Lincoln; niece, Paulette (Croiser) Milam and husband Keith and their children of Lincoln and several other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven with interment to follow in the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
