Funeral services for Herman Krause, 98, of Beasley are to be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Rosenberg with Rev. Charles Surovik officiating.
The former Beasley postmaster died Wednesday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. He was a merchant and manager of Merchants Gin and a member of the New Covenant Lutheran Church. After retiring, he farmed for many years.
Krause is survived by one daughter, Elvira Dell Krause of Beasley.
In lieu of other remembrances, the family requests that memorials be made to New Covenant Land Project.
Burial is to be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
Friends may call at Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg after noon Thursday.
