He was born Nov. 18, 1954, in Warrensburg, the son of Louis Henry and Margaret (Peterson) Doerflinger.
Louis was a graduate of Cole Camp High School in Cole Camp. He had lived in Chilhowee and Warrensburg several years and moved to Galva two years ago.
Louis had owned and operated gasoline/service stations in Higginsville and Centerview and more recently was employed by Bomag Corp. in Warrensburg and Illinois.
He leaves one son, Robert Doerflinger, Warrensburg; three daughters, Debbi Doerflinger, Minneapolis, Minn., Lisa Link, Neenah, Wis., and Kelli Doerflinger, Chilhowee; his mother, Margaret Doerflinger, Olathe, Kan.; three brothers, Gene Doerflinger, Kansas City, Elray Doerflinger, Warrensburg, and Marion Doerflinger, Columbia; and five sisters, Lyla Marshall and Patricia Garman, both of Warrensburg, Teresa Long, Grain Valley, Edna Wheeler and Helen Ness, both of Olathe, Kan. Also surviving are an uncle, Oliver Doerflinger, Warrensburg, and an aunt, Margaret Angle, Concordia.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Allen Oscar Doerflinger and Louis Henry Doerflinger Jr.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden.
Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg.
