Virginia L. Dearden, 87, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
She was born Oct. 5, 1923, in Hodgeman County, to John Conrad and Lydia Litzenberger Daubert.
A resident of Scott City since 1931, Mrs. Dearden was a homemaker.
On Feb. 17, 1942, she married Clifford M. Dearden in Scott City. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Janet Ottaway of Hays; three granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara Dearden; a brother, Edward Daubert; and a sister, Wilma Stephens.
Funeral was at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City. Burial was at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.
