Not only will we remember Jarrod for his ribeyes. cheesecake, Sausage Sandwiches, barbecue, pork chop dinners and his other delicacies of appetizing delights, we will
remember his dynamic, one-of-a-kind personality -- always living life with an exclamation point! Truly when Jarrod was created, God broke the mold, for Jarrod was very involved in this experience that we call LIFE.

Jarrod was born November 3, 1968, to Shelly and Della Evans Myles, the second child and eldest son. He was an adventurous lad. Never was there a boring moment in the Myles' household or in the Humphreys County School System. Within his familiar and scholastic realms, he acquired many virtues. Having many admirable virtues, the most valuable was friendship. He became a real friend to all. Everyone was Jarrod's neighbor.

Shelly and Della's son grew and thrived -- playing and growing on Central Street with the gang, the Central Street Gang (Ken, Juan, Stacy, Herman, Cliff, Charisse, Shaun -- just to name a few). He spent many Sundays in the country playing in his Grandpa Jim and Grandma Hester's yard.

While in school, Jarrod sang in the choir (only because he was the teacher's pet), and he played varsity football for the Cowboys. ln 1986, he graduated from Humphreys County High School and went on to attend Mississippi Delta Community College where he received a degree in Electrical, Heating, and Cooling Engineering (1988).

On April 14, 1990, Jarrod, now referred to as "Jed," married his soul mate and love of his life, "Cilia," Priscilla Cage. As he would tell you, she was his sweet, little country girl that he brought out of Louise. To their union, they were blessed with the apple of their eyes Porscha Myles and "his boy" Kameyron Myles. Jarrod took familyhood, like everything else, with a loving and comical flow.

Jarrod was not only a family man, but he was an excellent provider. He was a dedicated employee for six years at Entergy, Inc. Yet, he had a need to follow in his grandparents and parents' footsteps. lt was only natural that he became an entrepreneur. Jarrod was the proud proprietor of JD's and J&J Heating, Cooling, and Electrical Services. These businesses were befitting to Jarrod's personality because it allowed him to do the things that he loved the most: cooking, talking, and being around a host of people.

Life was not always peaches and cream for Jarrod. He knew sorrow with the passing of his beloved grandfathers Jefferson Myles (paternal) and Jim Evans (maternal), and his grandmother Algean Myles (paternal). Jarrod learned about all the colors of emotions that life presented to him, but he remained strong for he knew God was in control. At an early age, Jarrod professed his love for Christ at Evans Chapel United Methodist Church and grew in his admonition for God. ln adulthood, Jarrod would not forget his religious upbringing, and he made himself available to the church, serving as the church's master chef. We remember Jarrod. We remember Belzoni's native son. We remember his legacy to us. We remember how he kept everyone he met eating, smiling, and rolling with hearty laughter.

"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men. " -- Galatians 6: 10

Cherishing his memory forever will be his wife, Priscilla; his children, Porscha Myles and Kameyron Myles; his parents, Shelly and Della Myles; Grandmother (maternal) Hester Evans; sister Lavoris Monia Brown; brothers, Mark Jefferson Myles, Lawrence Browder (Brenda), Bennie Browder (Patricia), Demetrius Browder (Diane), and Shelly Hollis; father-in-law, David Cage (Evelyn); Grandparents-in-law, Arnett and Luella Beasley; two sisters-in-law, Felicia Cage and Anitra Bullock; one brother-in-law, David Bullock; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
