Everett George Gang, 67, died Sunday in Johnson City (Tenn.) Medical Center.

Mr. Gang served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was purchasing supervisor at Clarkson University, Potsdam, until his retirement in 1994. He also served as a town of Norfolk councilman.

Born Dec. 22, 1933, in Norfolk, son of Stephen and Emma Moroz Gang, he married Cecelia Bond on June 13, 1959, at the Church of the Visitation with the Rev. Francis J. Connors officiating. She died Nov. 5, 1997.

He was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 11544 and the American Legion. He was founder of Norfolk Biddy Basketball program in 1969 and a varsity girls basketball coach at Norwood-Norfolk Central School.

Surviving are two sons, Vincent and Edward; three sisters, Mary LaPoint, Mrs. Wayne (Helen) Henderson and Margaret Mere, and four grandchildren.

Three brothers, John, Joseph and Steven, and a sister, Julia Molnar, died before him.

The funeral was held at the Church of the Visitation with the Rev. Andrew J. Amyot, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
