James George Bruse, 91, of Kilmarnock died on Thursday, July 14, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ann Louise Gibson Bruse. He was born on March 31, 1920 on the family farm in Albion, Nebraska son of the late Carl E. and Stella Sheeks Bruse. Mr. Bruse was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired plant manager for the Southland Distribution Center in Fredericksburg. Mr. Bruse enjoyed his family, life on the water and traveling.
Surviving are a son, Reverend James C. Bruse; a daughter, Sue Ann Bruse both of Kilmarnock; a granddaughter, Katie Farr-Cottingham, PhD and husband, Frank Cottingham, PhD, White Plains, N. Y.; a grandson, Christopher Farr of Richmond.
A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 18 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Kilmarnock. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call 2 – 8 p.m. Sunday, July 17 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Kilmarnock.
