Thelma Madsen Larsen, age 86, passed away April 15, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born March 30, 1906 in Manti, Utah to Irving Fred and Lizzie Pauline Dyreng Madsen. She married Lawrence Milton Larsen on January 2, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.Thelma was a member of the LDS Church. She served for seven years as the Relief Society president in the Ephraim South Ward. She was an avid gardener and received yard beautification awards, and she was recognized for her needlecraft. She was also an avid Jazz fan. She was born and reared in Manti, and lived most of her life in Ephraim.

She is survived by her children, Mrs. Frank L. (Audrey) Bailey, Salt Lake City; Dale M. Larsen, Salt Lake City; Barbara J. Hamblin, West Valley City; Craig M. and Kathy Larsen, Orem; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Krause, Salt Lake City; Marian McDonald, Ogden; brother, Keith Madsen, Murray. Preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley V. Larsen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, 1992 at 10 a.m. in the 29th Ward (1100 West 500 No., Salt Lake City). Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary (255 So. 200 East) and 9-9:45 a.m. at the ward on Saturday. Interment, Ephraim City Cemetery
