Marie Evelyn Luecke, nee Stallmann, 83, Washington, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at The Homestead at Hickory View, Washington.
Mrs. Luecke, daughter of the late Jacob Stallmann and wife Anna, nee Boesing, was born August 8, 1916, at Port Hudson. She received her education at the Holy Family School at Port Hudson.
On October 18, 1939, she was united in marriage to Rudolph Luecke at the Holy Family Church in Port Hudson.
Mrs. Luecke was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and St. Bernadette's Sodality.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Luecke; by two brothers, Louis and Herbert Stallmann; and by one sister, Edith Banken.
Among her survivors are two sons, Jerome Luecke and wife Helen, New Jersey, and Thomas Luecke and wife Cathy, St. Charles; one daughter, Yvonne Latcheran and husband Ronald, Ormand Beach, Florida; seven siblings, Clarence Stallmann, St. Clair, Edna Riesenbeck, Margaret Moore and Walter Stallmann and wife Bernice, all of St. Louis; Robert Stallmann and wife Rose, Port Hudson, Arthur Stallmann and wife Virginia, Washington, and John Stallmann and wife Delores, Union; two sisters-in-law, Florence Stallmann, St. Louis, and Mary Stallmann, Overland; seven grandchildren, Claudia and Nicole Luecke and husband Chris Selley, Matthew Luecke, Hilary Brazzell and husband John, Michael Latcheran and Timothy and Patrick Luecke; one great-granddaughter, Katherine Selley; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, August 1, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Washington, with Rev. Robert Heimos officiating. Interment was in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Washington.
