"Mrs. M.F. Ossing died last evening at 7:15 o'clock, after a lingering illness of pneumonia. Wilhelmina Ossing, nee Geyer, was born in Saxony, Germany, Aug. 1, 1837, and died Jan. 3, 1905, aged 67 years, 2 months, 2 days. In 1852 with her parents, Frederick and Eva (Beyer) Geyer, and eldest sister, Mrs. C.E. Heuschkel (deceased), she emigrated to this country, coming to Cardington, Morrow county, Ohio, where they resided several years, later removing to near Glenmore, Van Wert county. In 1857 she was united in marriage to Michael F. Ossing, who died Nov. 7, 1891, removing to Van Wert, where both resided till summoned by death. She was confirmed in Germany and here became a member of the St. Peter church. In character she was kind and just. Mr. and Mrs. Ossing were the parents of six children, viz.: Albert, of Cleveland; Edward, Mrs. Caroline Bohyer, Mrs. Emma Armbrust, Mrs. Josephine Hinton, Poplar Bluffs (sic), Mo., and Henrietta, all of whom survive, except the eldest daughter. She also leaves three brothers - Charles Geyer, of Monroeville, Ind.; Edward and Robert, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Emrich, of near Glenmore - ten grandchildren and many relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mrs. M.F. Ossing will be held at the St. Petre church, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock."
