Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, in the Sidney Nazarene Church with Pastor Leo-nard Suhr officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1 to 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lela's name to the James B. Harrigan Center for Dialysis, 603 Holly Drive, Sterling, CO 80751.

Lela M. Young, one of thirteen children of Albert Oscar and Anna (Morris) Bennett, was born Nov. 21, 1921, at Morrill. She was raised in Broadwater and graduated from High School at Broadwater with the Class of 1941. On July 2, 1941, Lela was united in marriage to Robert H. Young at Bridgeport. To this union, four children were born. Lela and Bob moved to Sidney in 1951 making Sidney their home. She worked several jobs before going to work at the Memorial Health Center. Following twenty years of dedicated service she re-tired from MHC in 1982.
Lela lived for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her garden and flowers, bird watching and loved to go fishing. Lela was always willing to help anyone in need and cherished family reunions and gatherings.
Survivors include her children, Ron (Carol) Young of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Sharon (Lupe,) Torres, Bill (Joan) Young and Larry (RaNae) Young all of Sidney; sisters. Nell Maddox of Sidney, Dema Spear of Grand Island, Myrul Brown of North Platte and Della Carpenter of Washington; 11 grand-children, 12 great-grandchildren and a many extended family members.
Preceding Lela in death was her loving husband, four brothers and four sisters.
