Nathan Daniel Wheale, age 17 of Valparaiso, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011. He was born on May 25, 1994 in Hammond to Rick Hartman and Pamela (Wheale) Polak. Nathan was a lifelong area resident and a student at Portage High School. He enjoyed playing x-box and computer games. Nathan is survived by his mother, Pamela (Michael) Polak of Valparaiso; father, Rick Hartman of Hammond; grandparents: Daniel Wheale, Bob and Judy Polak, and Joan Hartman; sister, Kristen Polak of Valparaiso; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Mary Wheale, Richard Hartman, and Linda Polak. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage.
