Carolina Stoker, 60, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, May 22, 1926, at Mercy Hospital in Davenport, after an illness of four weeks.

The body will lie in the Runge Mortuary in Davenport, until Tuesday, May 25, when she will then be taken to Durant for graveside services. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.

Carolina Hagelstein was born December 2, 1865, in Germany. She married Friedrich Zachrist in Germany and he later died. She married Johann Marcus Friedrich Colschen in Germany in 1916. Together they immigrated to the United States to Cedar County and farmed near Durant. Johann preceded her in death on February 18, 1921. She married Christian Stoker on November 21, 1921, in Davenport. The couple moved to Victor, until they retired and moved to Davenport to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Victor.

Surviving are her husband, Christian; three daughters, Dorothea (Hannes) Jensen of Belvidere, SD, Lottie (Harry) Von Holdt of Davenport and Minnie Haack of Ida Grove; one step-daughter, Minnie (Charles) Minnaert of Davenport; one step-son, Fred (Martha) Stoker of Poweshiek County, Iowa; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first two husbands and one son-in-law, Henry Haack.
