He registered for World War I draft on June 17, 1917. Prior to joining the US Army, he lived in Hilliard, FL. He was the son of Abner and Mary Braddock Davis. The parents were buried in Live Oak Cemetery in Hilliard. His mother must have been broken-hearted when she died just a year after her son "Pat".

He was one of nine who died in WWI and enumerated on the Nassau County War Memorial on Amelia Island, FL. His name is the 6th from the top. He served our nation less than six months before his death.

He was called to active duty June 26, 1918 at Camp Jackson, SC. He was listed as a farmer prior to the military.

Article appearing in the "Tampa Tribune", 19 January 1919 states he died of disease.
