STROPE Helen M. Strope, age 71, of Linn, Mo., passed away, Monday, May 5, 2008, near Linn. Helen was born August 21, 1936, in Chamois to the late Willie and Marie Hausmann Troesser. She attended St. Mary's School in Frankenstein. She retired in 2003, from the packaging department at Scholastic. She enjoyed collecting angels and plates. She loved gardening, especially flowers. She loved decorating for the Christmas holidays. She enjoyed ceramics. She loved volunteering at the Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels and the Relay for Life. She was also active in the Loose Creek Senior Center. Helen was a member of St. George Church in Linn. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, St. Ann's Sodality, Legion of Mary and Red Hatters Club. She is survived by five sons; Keith and his wife, Brenda Strope of Linn, Greg and his wife, Ruth Strope of Linn, Jeff and his wife, Peggy Strope of Wardsville, Rodney and his wife, Colleen Strope of Chamois, and Dana Strope of Linn; three daughters, Yvonne and her husband, Dale Haslag of Linn, Kim and her husband, Larry Kever of Bonnots Mill, and Stephanie and her husband, Richard Eichholz of Westphalia; four brothers, Billy Troesser, Steve Troesser, and Jim Troesser, all of Linn and Jerry Troesser of Frankenstein; three sisters, Bernadette Timberlake of Linn, Josephine Nolte of Brazito and Leona Troesser of Linn; 19 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Joseph Troesser and Bernard Troesser. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Morton Chapel in Linn, Mo. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, at St. George Church with Rev. I.C. Medina as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Chapel, Linn, Mo., 897-2214. www.mortonchapel.com
