Donald Robert Forstner, 77, of Jacksboro, USAF Retired, passed away at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center on Oct. 6. Don was an avid golfer and a member of the East Tennessee Senior Golf Association. Member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Don was predeceased by parents, George and Kathleen Forstner; son, Paul Forstner; brother, Gerald Forstner.
Don is survived by wife, June Forstner; daughter and son in law, Sherry and Kelly Ramsey; daughter, Teri Tatum; sons and daughters in law, Chris and Vicki Forstner, Tony and DeeDee Forstner, Thomas and Linda Forstner; grandchildren, David and Bonnie Long, Jason Forstner, Marie and Ryan Hart and Lindsey Gleason; great-grandchildren, Brittnee Long and Abbie Hart; brother, Kevin Forstner; special friends, Bud Pettit, Clovetta and Dewey Hatfield, Larry and Ann Padgett, David and Jean Willoughby.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 9 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mass immediately following and burial in Jacksboro Cemetery with Military honors given by Campbell County Honor Guard. Father Joe Campbell and Rev. Charles Noss will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Building Fund, 1142 E. Elm St., LaFollette, TN 37766, Jacksboro Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1002, Jacksboro, TN 37757 or Campbell County Cancer Society.
