Farell Dennis Ballenger, age 83, of Springfield, Mo., passed away early Tuesday July, 26, 2011.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bonnie Ballenger; four sons, Dennis (Gina), Larry (Threasa), Kyle and Brian; seven grandchildren, Julie, Kayla, April, Jana, Chase, Justin and Sarah; and one great-grandson, Colton.
Farell was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Aretta; and brothers, Larry and Leon "Bub".
Farell served in the Korean war in the 1950's and retired from the IRS in 1985.
A graveside service will be on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., in Park Cemetery in Columbus, Kan., with a visitation on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, Mo.
