DEATH CLAIMS MRS. PAT CLANCY
Passed Away at Family Home Monday Forenoon.
Death visited the Clancy home Monday forenoon at about 9:30 and claimed the wife and mother. Mrs. Patrick Clancy had been obliged to keep to her bed during the past two years and a half and previous to that she had not been well for a period of several years.
Mr. and Mrs. Clancy were united in marriage at Marion, Ohio, in 1868, and they came directly from that place to Ackley; thirty years ago they removed to a farm in Grant township, where they remained through the years, or up to within a few weeks ago, when they again became residents of Ackley, having rented their farm. Deceased was the mother of four sons and one daughter; the sons are John, Pat, James and Thomas, the daughter, Miss Mary. She was born in County Tipperary, Ireland. She reached the age of seventy years. Her maiden name was Ellen Ryan.
Funeral services are to be held this (Wednesday) forenoon, at 10 o'clock, at St. Mary's Catholic church, and the remains are to be laid at rest in the Catholic cemetery.
