SCOTTSBLUFF - Mollie (Gettman) Lehl, 90, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at her home. She was born Nov. 21, 1910, in Frank, Russia, of German parents, Fredrick and Anna Margaret (Kaufman) Gettman. The family came to Canada in 1913 and then to Scottsbluff. She was educated in Scottsbluff and received her citizenship in 1936. She was married to Daniel P. Lehl Nov.19, 1935, at Emmanuel Congregational Church in Scottsbluff. She and her husband farmed in the valley until 1946, when they moved to Hemingford where they raised wheat and cattle for thirty-five years. They retired from farming in 1979 and returned to Scottsbluff. She was a member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in choir. She was a member of the Emmanuel Ladies Circle and the Church Brotherhood. She is survived by two daughters Jean Ann Votruba of Scottsbluff and Sandra Piekarski of Warren, Mich.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one sister, Mary Jane Parsons of Fullerton, Calif. Mrs. Lehl's funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Emmanuel Congregational Church at Scottsbluff, with Pastor Larry Scovil officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
