Jeff A. Winkel, of Toluca, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
He was born August 25, 1959 in Pontiac, a son of Vernon and Dorothy (Orsen) Winkel.
Survivors are his parents; two brothers: Randy and Brian, both at home; and paternal grandparents: F. Carl and Ida Frieda (Bendlin) Winkel of Toluca.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the sophomore class at Toluca High School.
