Emmett Keene Baumgartner, 90, of Auxvasse, died Thursday, Sept 2, 1993, at the home of his son in Auxvasse. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept 4, at the Auxvasse Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Raymond McCallister Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Auxvasse City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the Maupin Funeral Home in Auxvasse. Mr. Baumgartner was born April 27, 1903, near Millersburg to George Baumgartner and Nettie Atkins Baumgartner. On Sept. 20, 1924, in Fulton, he raised and showed American Bred Saddle Horses. He was member of the Auxvasse Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Bob Baumgartner and George Baumgartner; one sister, Thelma Schelp; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand-daughter. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Walter Baumgartner.
