FORT WORTH - Albert Leonard Strittmatter, 78, a retired home builder, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in Richland Hills.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. George Catholic Church, the Rev. Robert Strittmatter, celebrant. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Vigil: 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Drawing Room of Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dave Burr, Raymond Cox, Kenneth Heine, Albert John, Ronnie Strittmatter and Terry Thompson.

Albert Leonard Strittmatter was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Pilot Point and had resided in Fort Worth since 1930. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II.

He was the son of the late John and Ursula Strittmatter and was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Strittmatter.

Survivors: Wife of 28 years, Lois "Vicky" Strittmatter; children, Cecelia Stephens, Rita Hitt, Teresa Downs, David Strittmatter, Rhonda Burr and Pam Miller; 12 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, William B.
