Francis R. Henke Ret. Dairy Farmer, 87
Francis R. Henke of Callicoon, a retired dairy farmer, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale, Pa. He was 87.
The son of the late Bernard and Veronica Wiegard Henke, he was born on December 5, 1920 in Callicoon.
He was a member of Holy Cross Church in Callicoon.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Herbert Henke of Port Jervis; his children, David Henke and his wife, Chris of Harford, Kathryn Coleman and her husband, Gary of Port Jervis, Bernard Henke and his wife, Donna of Pine Bush, Diane Drinkard and her husband, Hans of Stratford, Conn., Paul Henke and his wife, Connie of Gardiner, Francis Henke and his wife, Marlena of Horse Heads, and a daughter-in-law, Kim Henke of Callicoon; two brothers, Conrad Henke and his wife, Helen of Lansing, Mich. and James Henke of Callicoon; seventeen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Michael B. Henke; his four brothers, Joseph, George, Carl and William Henke; and by his two sisters, Rose Henke and Mary Orth.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 11 at Holy Cross Church in Callicoon. Father Ignatius Smith OFM will officiate.
Burial will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery in Callicoon.
