Norman Joseph Engelhart, age 72 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Clinton Christian Church, Clinton, Missouri, with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Norman was born in Clinton, Missouri the son of Joseph and Rose (Singer) Engelhart. He was married to Freda (Cornell) Engelhart. He worked for Beatrice Foods and then Peabody Coal-Tebo Mine and Associated Electric as a heavy equipment operator before retiring from Thomas Hill Mine. Norman enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He was baptized on Easter Sunday in 1973. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, one stepbrother, Ted Smith and one stepsister, Betty Gibson. He is survived by his wife, Freda Engelhart, of the home; two sons, Bruce Wayne Engelhart and wife Nancy of Clinton and Mark Allen Engelhart and wife Tara of Warrensburg, Missouri; six grandchildren, Andrew Engelhart, Eric Engelhart, Kyle Engelhart, Aaron Engelhart, Tyler Engelhart and Jennifer Engelhart; one sister, JoAnn Cook and husband Edward of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one half-sister, Linda Christ and husband Bob of St. Louis, Missouri; one stepbrother, Bobby Smith and wife Dorothy of Urich, Missouri as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
