Charles R. Poehl, Jr., 80 was born on May 20, 1931 in Caldwell, TX. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 15, 2011 in College Station, TX. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring after 23 years of dedicated service. He leaves to cherish fond memories, two daughters, Sheri Croft and husband Scott of Haughton, LA and Amy Nicholson and husband David of Temple Terrace, FL; two sons, Robert Poehl, Kyle Poehl and wife Ana, all of Land O'Lakes, FL; sister, Cleo Fine of Houston, TX; brother, Bob Poehl and wife Betty of Bellville, TX; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and dear friends. He is reunited with his parents Charles and Daily Wiederhold Poehl. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with viewing beginning 30 minutes prior at the Chapel of the Chimes at Brookside Memorial Park, 13401 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. He will be laid to rest with full military honors immediately following the celebration of life. In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests memorial donations be made in his honor to Bossier Kids, 2125 Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA 71111 or Alzheimer's Association , 2242 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030
