Funeral Services Held Sept 4 For J. Clifton Hicks Of Gibsland

Funeral services were held at 3 p. m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Conger Chapel for J. Clifton Hicks, 82, of Gibsland, who died
Sunday at Meadowview Nursing Home, Minden. The Rev. Harlan Smith officiated at the service. Interment at Mt. Lebanon
Cemetery was under the direction of Conger Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Bob Hines, Gregg Hines, Danny Volentine, Jack Spurlock, Terry Spurlock, Jeff Cole.

The son of the late Martin Emmel Hicks and Rebecca Elizabeth Stewart Hicks, the deceased was a member of Mt. Lebanon
Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Mae Perritt Hicks; one son, Leland Hicks of Tyler, Texas; five daughters, Mrs.
Mildred Hicks of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Odell Miller, Taylor, Mrs. Evelyn Spurlock, Athens, Mrs. Syble Hines, Shreveport and Mrs. Myra Bickford of Fort Myers, Florida; and a brother, Kittrell Hicks of Rayville. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren
