Born Sept. 12, 1911, at Lansing, a son of the late Otis G. and Io Judy Wood.
He was a member of the Charleston Baptist Temple and was employed by the Cruze Music Co. in Charleston.
Survivors are his wife, Geraldine Burr; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Blackwell of Cary, N. C., and Mrs. Barbara Holley of Charleston; a son, Patrick E. of Saint Albans; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Duling of Hertford, N. C.; four brothers, Rev.
Bruce Wood of Grafton, Arthur of Charleston, Aubrey of Hilton Village and Ernest of Denver, Colo., and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Minnie Bell Baptist Church at Corliss with Rev. Hilbert McClung in charge. Burial will be in Shawver Cemetery in Corliss.
