Livingston, April 29 - Joseph Slifka, 21 of Livingston died at five o'clock this morning at the St Francis Hospital in Litchfield from injuries received in an automobile accident at 6:30 Monday morning.  The accident happened one mile north of Hamel when Slifka was riding with his brother, Harry, of Livingston, and their automobile collided with the car occupied by Anthony Seissler and his wife, Ann, of Grays Lake, Ill.  There was a heavy fog Monday morning and that was the cause of the accident.  The Slifka brothers were on their way to Granite City, where they worked in one of the steel mills.  The four people were taken to the Litchfield Hospital where it was reported that Seissler suffered a broken knee and several fractured ribs.
