The funeral for George S. Gustafson, 79, Moorhead, will be at 2 Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, Fingal N.D. He died Wednesday.
Mr. Gustafson was born Oct. 22, 1906, in Fingal, where he grew up and attended school. He later farmed near Fingal. After serving in the Army during WWII, he returned to North Dakota and worked on farms in the Fingal and Tower City areas. In 1961, he moved to the Fargo-Moorehead area and worked on the Helgren Truck Farm. After retiring in 1971, he lived in Fargo until moving to the Northside Retirement Home in Moorhead in 1983.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Dorothy) Ziemann, Park Rapids, Minn.; a sister Mrs. Bascel (Hilma) Knutson, Fingal; nine grandchildren and two great grandsons. (Peterson-Olson, Valley City, N.D.)

George was a choir member as a youth in his church. His middle name appears as Stillman (birth) and Stellman ( Military). He had blonde hair and blue eyes, 5'8" as was his son. He was married October 31, 1932 to Alice Dighton.
