Mary Louise Creed, 87, departed this life March 18, 2009. Born in Eggleston, VA, she was the daughter of Mildred Farrer and Dennis Brandau. She was one of six children. Sisters Doris and Frances survive.
She was married in 1939 to the love of her life John Howard Creed. Although Mr. Creed passed some years ago, she remained a devoted wife, concerned about her husband until the moment of her passing. She was a dedicated and loving mother to children Elizabeth, Patricia, and John Jr. She loved and nourished her grandchildren and their spouses Debbie (Bob), Jeff (Devon), Greg (Gina), Brian (LeeAnn), and Joe (Melanie). Her great grandchildren Ashley, Alex, Ivey, Wilson, Mackenzie, Braden, Andrew, Daniel, Colby, Avery, Jasmine, and Avery-Elizabeth both astonished and amused her, giving her and them precious memories of reciprocated love. She was the best mother-in-law, sharing her children with Ned, Johnny, and Linda, and freely giving of her love and concern. Above all, she knew Jesus as her Lord and savior. She loved God and looked forward to the comfort of his arms upon her passing.
