FRANK PICHA DIED IN MILWAUKEE
Frank Picha, 71, a well-known former resident of this community, passed away Monday morning, July 16th, 1951 at a Milwaukee hospital, following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at the Hart Funeral Home in Hillsboro at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, July 18th. The Revered I J. Butcher, pastor of the Hillsboro Wesleyan Methodist church, officiated at the rites. Burial was in the Knadle cemetery.

Frank Picha, son of Matt Picha and Anna Urbanek Picha, was born April 12, 1880 at Rockland, La Crosse County, Wisconsin. When he was five years old, the Picha family moved to Yuba. In that community he attended the local school and grew to young manhood. Until the time of his marriage, he resided on the Picha homestead in the Town of Union, Vernon County.

On May 12th, 1903 he was married to Miss Josephine Sebranek. The nuptial ceremony took place at Union Center, Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. Picha established their home at Dilly, in Forest Township where they resided for a numbers of years. At Dilly Mr. Picha operated a hardware store and was also in the automobile sales business. Later the Picha family moved to Hillsboro where for some time Mr. Picha was in the automobile business and did custom painting. Twenty-four years ago the family moved from this city to Milwaukee where Mr. Picha conducted a custom painting business.

Surviving Mr. Picha are his wife, Mrs. Josephine Picha of Milwaukee; two sons, Adolph and Victor Picha, both of Milwaukee; two daughters, Julia (Mrs. Fred Seefeldt) and Ella (Mrs. Walter Reedy), both of Milwaukee; four grandchildren; his aged mother, Mrs. Anna Picha of Hillsboro; two brothers, Albin Picha of Hillsboro and Joseph of Pico, California; two sisters, Anna (Mrs. Albert Subera of Hillsboro) and Elsie (Mrs. William Wopat of Elroy); many other relatives and large numbers of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Matt Picha; three sisters, Mary (Mrs. Anton Sebranek), Clara (Mrs. Fred Young) and an infant sister, Mary.

The death of Mr. Picha brings deep sorrow to many people in this locality who will every remember him as a kindly man, a sincere friend and an excellent neighbor. His friendly personality and thoughtful helpfulness won the good will and esteem of all those who knew him. Through inspiration, guidance and practical assistance, he had helped in many ways to make this a happier world for many people. The kindnesses which he so generously conferred upon his associated will forever remain a precious and treasured remembrance in the hearts of those who so deeply mourn his death. --"The Hillsboro Sentry-Enterprise," Thursday, July 19, 1951
