Raymond P. Linster was born in Millerville township, Douglas County, April 4, 1912, the son of John and Caroline Linster. He attended school and grew to manhood in the Millerville community. On April 29, 1941 he entered the U.S. Army and served some time overseas. On June 1, 1945 he was Honorably Discharged. After his discharge he returned to Douglas county where he was employed by the Douglas County Highway Dept.
Raymond died at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis on Nov. 13, 1967 at the age of 55 years. He is survived by his parents, three sisters and one brother: Theresa (Mrs. Lawrence Geber) of Fergus Falls, Minn.; Marion (Mrs. Charles Zaviska) of Forada; Al Linster of Minneapolis; Lorraine (Mrs. Ed Drahos) of Forada.
Rosary services were Nov. 15, 1967 at the Church of Seven Dolors, Millerville. Funeral services were held Nov. 16, 1967 from the Church of Seven Dolors, Millerville, Rev. Lawrence F. Botz, Rev. Eugene Meemken and Rev. Karel Pecovnik officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence Boesen, Alfred Stroh, Martin Stroh, Alphonse Thoennes, Clifford Guenther and Wallace Schiele. Military honors were conducted.
