Mrs. Sharon Ann Garrett, 46, of 7810 Adrian Drive, Fayetteville, died Monday in Womack Army Hospital at Fort Bragg. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in United Gospel Fellowship Christian Center by Bishop J.V. Porter. Burial will be in Post Cemetery at Fort Bragg. Cunningham & Sons Mortuary.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by her husband, Solomon Garrett of the home; two daughters, Renee Garrett and Amanda Garrett, both of the home; a son, Derrick Garrett of Durham; her father, Cornelius Slaughter of Topeka, Kan.; two brothers, Gary S. Slaughter of Richmond, Va., and Tony Slaughter of Wichita, Kan.; and three sisters, Deborah Zollicoffee, Michelle Smith and Aleshia Slaughter, all of Topeka.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at the Life Center, Murchison Road

NOTE: Sharon Ann Slaughter was a graduate of Great Bend (KS) High School, Class of 1966.

Sharon was a dear friend and classmate. We shared our senior year in high school in the Distributive Education Program, but like many classmates, we lost track of each other over the years. In attempting to find a LOST classmate for our 45th class reunion, I sadly ran across her sister's obituary in 2004, Sharon's Social Security Death Record and the North Carolina Death Index.

I wanted to create a memorial for my dear friend in loving memory. Any additional information about the family and life of Sharon would be greatly appreciated.
