LACON: Rosetta Fern Tolle, age 90, of Kankakee, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Miller Health Care Center.
She was born December 21, 1916, in Buckingham, IL, to A. Raymond and Alice Overright Clark. She married Delbert Tolle on Dec. 21, 1941. He passed away Jan. 6, 1995.
Mrs. Tolle was a homemaker and a long-time member of the Lacon United Methodist Church. She was also affiliated with the Herscher United Methodist Church.
She lived in Lacon for over 50 years and in the Kankakee area since 1996. She enjoyed embroidery and reading.
Surviving are a sister, Doris Noffke of Herscher, IL; and a brother-in-law, Warren Cochran of Herscher, IL. Other survivors include her aunt, Lisa Bunnell of Manteno, IL; her cousin, Lester Overright of Manteno, IL; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two infant daughters; two sisters, Leora Hendrix and Beulah Cochran; and two brothers-in-law, Marwood Hendrix and Walter Noffke.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Herscher United Methodist Church, Herscher, IL. Her funeral will follow immediately at the church at 11 a.m. The Rev. Scott Baird will officiate. Interment will follow at the Eldridgeville Cemetery in Norton Township, IL.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or the Lacon United Methodist Church.
