Julius H. Heinzler was the son of Herunimus "Henry" and Apolonis (Weber) Heinzler who were born in Germany. Julius was 5 years old and his parents' oldest and only child when this family immigrated to America.

The family apparently spent some time in Ohio as they had a son named Franz Johann in that location. Records from a defunct Catholic cemetery in Columbus, Ohio, show this child died January 8, 1856 at age 7 weeks. It says he was the son of Heironimus and Appolonia Heintzler. (Thank you to Contributor Zelda 47502021 for this child's information.)

They next apparently lived in Wisconsin where Julius' sister, Josephine, was born in April 1858. Then they came to Saline County, Missouri where they spent the rest of their lives. Three other known children were born to the Heinzler family in Missouri: Frank Matthew (1860-1952), Rosa Heinzler (1862- ), and Albert (1865-1903).

Henry Heinzler was a stone mason by trade.

On 1876 , Julius Heinzler married Augusta Theiss. They were married only 3 years when Augusta died at the age of 20. It is unknown if they had any children.

In 1881, Julius married Magadelina "Lena" or "Lee" Howorker (1860-1922) who was also born in Germany and immigrated to the United States with her parents in 1854. They had the following known children:

Edward H. Heinzler 1880-
Florence Heinzler 1884-
Voltina Heinzler 1887-
Rosa Lee (Heingler) Ballowe 1889-1919
Emma Heinzler 1897-

This family appears in the 1900 census of Slater, Saline County, Missouri. Julius was 51, a farmer, Lee 39, Edward 19, Florence 15, Voltina 13, Rosa 11, Emma 3. Julius' 77-year-old father Heronimus Heinzler was also living with them.
