Graveside services for Clara A. Farmer, 92, of Caldwell, who died Saturday, Dec. 24, 1988, at a Caldwell nursing home of natural causes, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, in the Middleton Cemetery. The Rev. Allen Nelson of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church will officiate. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Mrs. Farmer was born Jan. 18, 1896, to Charles A. and Helen V. Hearst Packer in Ola, where she was educated. She later moved with her family to the Caldwell area, where she married Kirk Farmer Nov. 24, 1915. Together they moved to Rupert in 1955, to Kuna in 1957, and in 1966 returned to Caldwell, where she had since resided. Mr. Farmer died July 21, 1971. For the last several years she had resided in the Caldwell Care Center. She felt this was her home and everyone there was very special to her. She enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Survivors include seven sons and daughters in-law, Dewey and Gene Farmer of Caldwell, Kirk Farmer Jr, of Caldwell, Forest W. and Lola Farmer of Reno, Nev., Charles J. and Norma Farmer of Kuna, Burton Farmer of Emmett, Bill and Myrtle Farmer of Crabtree, Ore., and Robert and Helen Farmer of Roy, Utah; a brother, Ted Wells of Caldwell; 15 grandchildren; and numerous greats grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, a sister, a daughter, and three grandchildren.
