Charles Joseph Laborde, Sr., beloved husband of Anita Guarrasi Laborde, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the age of 86. Survived by his children, Charles J. Laborde, Jr. (wife Jolean Barkley Laborde) and Anita Laborde Duncan; grandchildren, Charles J. Laborde, III (wife Michelle), Corey Jayne Laborde Keller (husband Ross), Christopher (Jake) Laborde (wife Bridget), Nicollette Laborde, Beau Laborde, Dirk Duncan (wife Nicolle) and Ava Gorman; great grandchildren, Noah, Brady, and Caleb Laborde, Caroline Jayne Keller, Brady Duncan and soon to arrive Lucia Laborde, niece Linda Englebracht and former daughter-in-law, Madelyn K. David. Brother of the late Joseph Hagman, Louise Hagman Lodriguess, and Katie Hagman Rice. Son of the late Alvina Arscott Laborde and Charles M. Laborde. Brother-In-law of Vincent Guarrasi, and the late Martin and Leonard Guarrasi, Jenny Sperry and Phyllis Buras. Charles, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, was a retired Radio and Television Repairman and Past President of St. Francis of Assisi Holy Name Society.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 8:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2.
