Evelyn J. Maly, died on Friday, September 10, 1999 of congestive heart failure at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born on April 3, 1921 in Springfield Corners, WI. She was the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Beuthin) Raemisch. Evelyn married Walter J. Maly on May 17, 1945 in Ashton, WI. He preceded her in death in 1990. Evelyn graduated from Middleton High School and Madison Business College. She did bookwork for the family farm business and the Sun Prairie Drainage Co. for many years. She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society, St. Zita's Circle and Box Elder Homemakers. She loved sewing, making crafts, knitting, crocheting and doing volunteer work at the church. Evelyn was a best friend to many, a mother who loved and gave everything to her children and grandchildren, and a wife who took care of her disabled husband for 22 years. She was the world's best mom, granny, adopted mom, sister and friend. Survivors include her four children, Paul (Dee) of Sun Prairie, Marge Prefontaine of Albuquerque, NM, Ginger Maly of Sun Prairie, and Gene (Janine) of Kentwood, MI; seven grandchildren, Jeff, Brett, Mitch, Brie, Joe, Bekah, and Dan; and four brothers, Robert (Betty) Raemisch and Butch (Darlene) Raemisch, both of Waunakee, Donald Raemisch of Windsor, and Frank (Marlene) Raemisch of Lodi. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a sister, Evangeline. A Funeral Mass will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 1999 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St., with Father Duane Moellenberndt officiating. A private burial will be at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday, September 14. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 1999 at the church. The family suggests memorials be made to Sacred Hearts Endowment Fund or St. Mary's Cardiac Care Services. Thank you to all her great dear friends and family for spending prime time with her in the past two years. We miss you. Take care. WSJ 9/12/1999
