Born in Wheatland Township, Carroll County, Iowa. Died at Carroll Health Center, Carroll, Iowa. Mother of 4. She was my great-aunt and had grown to be a dear friend of mine since 2001. She remained close to her brother all of her life. Her affection for him ran very deep. She seems to have been a bit of a tomboy in her day, as she sincerely enjoyed and missed doing farmwork with him. She enjoyed baking, Pepsi One, and word searches, as well as watching baseball, Deal Or No Deal, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, etc. She enjoyed all flowers, but roses were among her favorites. (She sent a lovely arrangement of orange roses when my grandmother died.) She had an extremely good sense of humor. She reminded me of myself in many ways. More to follow.
