DEL NORTE — Del Norte resident Isaac Paul Medina, 21, died August 21, 2011 near Monte Vista.
Isaac was born March 14, 1990 to Thomas Medina and Phyllis Gonzales.
He worked for the past few years as a tree trimmer. Isaac had a good sense of humor and enjoyed sharing a good joke and a laugh with his friends and family. He always had a smile.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling as well as just about anything that involved being in the outdoors. He also liked to cruise his Camaro and listen to Spanish music.
He is survived by his loving parents Thomas Medina (Geraldin Velasquez) and Phyllis (Gerald Pacheco) Gonzales; his brother Thomas (Kayla) Medina, Jr., Tony Medina; his nephew Elijah Medina; stepbrothers, Frederico (Krissy) Pacheco, Zachary (Yolanda) Montuer, Gerald Pacheco Jr.; stepsisters, Deserrie (Jose) Aguirre, Brooke Velasquez, all of Del Norte; his maternal grandparents Cora (Thomas) Pena of Del Norte and Felix (Alice) Gonzales of Denver; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of extended family and friends.
His paternal grandmother Juanita Medina and maternal great-grandparents Claude and Adolfita Trujillo preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Rogers Family Mortuary, 404 Morris St. in Monte Vista, followed by a Vigil with Recitation of the Rosary Service 7 p.m. at the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Holy Name of Mary Church 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011. Interment will follow services in the Del Norte Cemetery.
