Adrian B. Leatherman, 92, of Round Rock, Texas, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 6, at his home in Round Rock, following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Louise Sinclair.
Born Oct. 14, 1915, in Myersville, he was the son of the late Roy Lester and Vada Elizabeth Grossnickle Leatherman.

Mr. Leatherman was a graduate of Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Va., and held a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Siboney in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a retired chemist with the Food and Drug Administration in Washington, D.C. Prior to moving to Texas in 2003, Mr. Leatherman had been a resident of Washington, North Carolina, for 25 years. Before moving to North Carolina, he had lived in Frederick and Rockville. The things Adrian most enjoyed in life were playing bridge; going to the beach cottage at Port Aransas, Texas; fishing; playing golf, he even had a "hole in one;" and especially his family.

Surviving are two daughters, Adrienne Bee Flagg and husband, Richard, of Round Rock, Texas; and Carolyn Bradley Richardson and husband, Judd, of Hendersonville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Todd Lee Flagg and wife, Misti, of Greenbrier, Ark.; Anthony Marc Flagg and wife, Diana, of Austin, Texas; and Lori Richardson DeGeus and husband, Tim, of Raleigh N.C.; four great-grandsons, Connor and Paxton Flagg of Greenbrier, Ark.; and Nathan and Ryan Flagg of Austin, Texas; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley DeGeus of Raleigh, N.C. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Eugene Leatherman.

Adrian will be buried next to his beloved wife, Dorothy, on Oct. 8, which is the 68th anniversary of their marriage. Friends are invited to join the family between 10 and 10:15 a.m. Services and inurnment will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Francis Scott Key Chapel in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 4029 Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX 78704, or to the charitable organization of your choice.
