Frederick Steven Thoele, 69 years old, passed away Wednesday night, April 5, 1961, at Bethany Hospital after an illness of two months. He lived at 7340 Holliday Drive in Wyandotte County. Frederick was born in Wyandotte County and had lived there all his life. He was a retired truck farmer. Mr. Thoele was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Shawnee.

He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Loretta Blanche Thoele; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Jane Weyant, of 1308 South 34th in Kansas City, Kan.; three sons, John Thoele of 4300 Powell, Ivan Thoele of 2220 South 59th and Frederick Thoele of 5111 Edith, all in Kansas City, Kansas; a sister, Mrs. Clara Cunningham of 9405 West 47th in South Park; a brother, Harry Thoele, of Lane, Kan.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Rosary was prayed at the Amos Chapel in Shawnee. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Shawnee. Burial followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Shawnee.
