December 20, 1895, she was married to Freddie Sears. Twelve children were born and ten are living. They are: Clara Powers of Terre Haute, Indiana; Amanda Rogers, of Washington, Indiana; Joe Sears of Long Beach, Calif.; Rose Bishop of Kearney; Lena Alderson of Lebanon, Oregon; Alva Lyngholm of Norfolk; Elmer Sears of Seattle, Wash.; Violet Larson of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Lorna Brilliant of Corona Del Mar, Calif.; and Marie Springer of Port Richie, Florida.
Also surviving are two brothers: Alfred Gerber of San Bernardino, Calif., and Jake Gerber of Beaver Crossing; two sisters, Mattie Schultz of York and Hattie Richardson of Ord; half-sister, Mrs. Martha Simpkins of Lincoln; a half-brother, Daniel Richardson of Burwell; 25 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Sears spent most of their married life living on a farm in the Beaver Crossing community. Her husband preceded her in death in May of 1954.
Mrs. Sears has been in failing health for the last three years. She was a member of the Christian Church in Beaver Crossing and the Ladies' Aid Society.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church in Beaver Crossing on Friday, Feb. 5, 1960 by Rev. E. B. Stewart of Beaver Crossing. Burial was made in Beaver Crossing Cemetery.
