Elizabeth and Otto were married in a double wedding ceremony at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church - Cheboygan, performed by Rev. Joel David Druckenmiller of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Moltke with her sister, Anna and Charles Mendrick. Witnesses at Elizabeth and Otto's marriage were Oscar Kirsch and Emma Brasgalla, both of Cheboygan. They lived in Cheboygan all their life.
