Funeral services for Henry Deppe, a retired farmer, were held on Monday, February 18, 1985, at Eden Presbyterian Church, rural Rudd. Rev. John Bates officiated with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.

He died Thursday, February 14, 1985, at a nursing home.

Henry Deppe was born February 24, 1908, in Pershing, Missouri, the son of Henry and Mary Beckman Deppe. He moved to rural Rudd in 1938 and farmed in the Rudd and Osage areas until retiring in 1976. He moved into Osage in 1981.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frieda, one son, four brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Helen of Osage; a son, Ardel Deppe of Kauai, Hawaii; two stepsons,
Bob Lackore of Des Moines and Jim Lackore of rural Osage; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Mariella)
Bohlen of Anchorage, Alaska and Mrs. Francis (Eileen) Butts of Vista, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
