Cornelius A. Vancil
Cornelius A. Vancil, 81, of 1226 North Madison, died Thursday in a local hospital.
He was born February 15, 1869 in Illinois and came to Topeka in 1902. He was a member of Potwin Presbyterian church, Masonic lodge 17, AF&AM, and Topeka consistory of Scottish Rite. He operated a paint and wallpaper store, retiring in 1936.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Katherine Vancil; two daughters, Mrs. A.R. Enfield of Bella Vista, Ark., and Mrs. John J. Ford of Branson, Mo.; a son, Carl M. Vancil of Topeka; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery, and Eslinger's Funeral home will announce further arrangements.
