The couple farmed in Ash Lake Township until 1944, when they purchased their present farm, where Frank remained until his death. He was a member of Bethany Elim Lutheran Church in Ivanhoe, and he enjoyed leather work, making wheel rugs, playing dominoes, handicrafts, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by five sons: Harvey and his wife Muriel of Hendricks, Joel and his wife Jan of Bloomington, MN, Garry and his wife Barbara of Cloquet, MN, John Dale Koopman of New Orleans, LA, and Robert and his wife Robin of Crystal, MN; two daughters: Wanice (Mrs. Richard) Hoff of Hendricks, and Ruby (Mrs. Fred) Koopman-Campbell of St. James, MN. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four brothers, and four sisters.
