Cynthia Ann Balza, (Mrs. Robert), 56, Luxemburg, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, April 6, 2011, at a Green Bay hospital surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 29, 1954, in Algoma, to the late, Richard and Lucy (Flavion) Dellis. In July of 1972, she married Wayne Hallet. Later they divorced, and on Feb. 28, 1998, Cindy and Robert E. Balza were married in Slovan. Cindy's enjoyments included interior design, designing and decorating flowers and her favorite joy, spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved to decorate her home in an "over-the-top" manner starting in September through February.
Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Balza, Luxemburg; her children, Rick (Robyn) Hallet, Green Bay; Tammy (Dean) Lohrey, Algoma; Robert D. Balza, St. Louis; Gary (Ashly) Balza, Green Bay; three grandchildren, Connor and Alexander Lohrey, Michael Balza; one sister, Carol (Ivan) DeKeyser, Lincoln; her mother-in-law, Janet Balza, Casco; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Mike) Cisowski, Nancy (Mark) Van Lanen, all of California; her children's father, Wayne (Mary) Hallet, Luxemburg; nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by two infant brothers; her parents; and her father-in-law, Edmund W. Balza.
Friends may call at McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011. Closing parish prayer service 4 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue between 10 and 10:45 a.m. Monday, at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. Funeral 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery Luxemburg.
