Betty Jane Bley, 54, of Phinneyville Road, Ringtown, passed away in the presence of her family Sunday morning.
Born in Shenandoah, Sept. 21, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Doris Zimmerman Foose.
She was 1974 graduate of West Hazleton High School.
A member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Brandonville, Betty was a former member of the church council and was very active with the church choir. She worked on her family farm, Bley Farms, and also enjoyed flower gardening and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Christie Sue.
Betty is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ralph Bley Jr. and their children, a daughter, Rebecca Bley, fiancee of Eric Ward, and a son, Ralph Matthew Bley, all of Phinneyville. Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret, wife of Thomas Krupilis, Brandonville, and Susan, wife of Bernard Carter, Sheppton. Nieces and nephews also survive, as do "her boys," Jasper, Gizmo, Mimi and Marlee.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown, with the Rev. Jay Serafin officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Girard Manor Cemetery, Phinneyville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be made to St. John's Lutheran Church of Brandonville, Post Office 261, Ringtown, PA 17967.
