Viola K. Hall, 95, of Redfield, SD, died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Redfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield. Father William Osborn will celebrate the mass. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 5:30 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home. www.thelenfuneralhome.com
Viola Eimers was born October 14, 1914 to Fred and Kate (Krell) Eimers on a farm north of Frankfort. She attended rural school through the eighth grade. Vi worked on the farm until moving into Redfield, with her mother, in 1945. Vi married Harvey Hall on January 25, 1947 in Redfield. She worked as a waitress at the lunch counter in The Fair Store. Later the store was called Tom Thumb and later Ben Franklin. Vi worked in the Redfield School lunchroom until she retired in 1979. She loved to work with people and was everyone's friend.
She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and Altar Society and VFW auxiliary.
Vi is survived by nieces and nephews including Ron and Marlene Eimers of Redfield who helped her live in her own house until 2007 when she moved to Golden Living Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harvey in 1988 and a brother and a sister.
